Lucien Engelen

For over 30 years, Lucien Engelen has been assisting organizations, corporations, and governments worldwide to make a soft landing in the future of healthcare. He bridges vision, strategy, and practice on how healthcare will change in the next five, ten, and 25 years and advises top-level stakeholders on their innovation and transformation strategies in the most dynamic era in history. His goal is to prepare for a soft landing in the future by bringing tomorrow’s challenges to today’s leaders and professionals. Currently, Engelen is the CEO of Transform.health and an Edge Fellow at the Center for the Edge, Deloitte.

Engelen shares content, connections, and practical approaches in over 100 sessions per year across the continents. His experience is drawn from his past and current roles in healthcare, including his tenure as Head of the Regional Emergency Healthcare Network at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre. He also founded and directed the Radboudumc REshape Innovation Center. Engelen joined Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam to assist in their innovation ambition, establishing himself as a force in healthcare innovation. In addition to his role at Laurentius MC, he is also a fellow at Deloitte Center for the Edge (non-commercial, not employed, independent) and acts as the faculty of the healthcare track Exponential Medicine at Singularity University. As the International Ambassador of Nursing Innovation for Sigma Theta Tau, he always advocates for #nursesincluded.
