MILCK

MILCK, born Connie K. Lim, is an artist and activist whose music has become a powerful force for social change. Best known for her viral anthem "Quiet," which emerged as a global rallying cry for women’s rights, MILCK uses her soulful melodies and raw, impactful lyrics to inspire listeners to embrace their authentic selves and speak out against injustice. Her work has been celebrated by outlets like Billboard, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, and NPR, establishing her as a significant voice in today’s music scene.

"Quiet" was born out of MILCK's own experiences with abuse and quickly became a cornerstone of the #MeToo movement. On January 21, 2017, MILCK and 25 female singers performed multiple a cappella “flash mob” renditions of the song at the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. A video of the performance went viral, amassing over 15 million views and garnering support from celebrities like Emma Watson, Debra Messing, Tegan and Sara, and Denis Leary. This moment sparked the #ICantKeepQuiet social media movement, which aims to raise awareness for victims of abuse and encourage empathy, tolerance, and unity.

Since then, MILCK has continued to use her platform to advocate for change, appearing on "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" and in major media outlets like BuzzFeed, VICE, and NPR. In 2017, she announced her debut EP through a partnership with Atlantic Records, further solidifying her presence in the music industry. As a survivor of sexual abuse, MILCK channels her personal experiences into her music, empowering others to confront their struggles and reclaim their voices.

Beyond her work in music, MILCK is expanding her creative influence into theater. La Jolla Playhouse has commissioned her to develop The Family Album, a musical exploring themes of healing and family, set to premiere in early 2026.
