Madeline Di Nonno

Madeline Di Nonno, the President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute, has dedicated her career to advocating for authentic portrayals in entertainment. The Institute, a global research-driven organization, thrives under her leadership, with her oversight of its strategic direction, including research, finance, and programming initiatives. Di Nonno began her career in corporate publicity at ABC Television Network, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape. Over the years, her roles expanded to include executive positions at Anchor Bay Entertainment/Starz Media, Echo Bridge Home Entertainment, Nielsen EDI, and the Hallmark Channel.

Her tenacity and dedication have earned her recognition in the industry. Di Nonno was honored with the ADWEEK Lilly Ledbetter Lifetime Achievement Award and has served as an Executive Producer on award-winning projects. These include the Emmy-nominated, People’s Choice Award-winning, and Gracie Award-winning series "Mission Unstoppable" and the Gracie Award-winning documentary "This Changes Everything". The Geena Davis Institute itself received the Governor’s Award Emmy for its contribution to television, further attesting to Di Nonno's impactful leadership.

Outside of her executive roles, Di Nonno is a highly regarded speaker and moderator at global conferences and events. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University and serves on several boards, demonstrating her commitment to the industry. She is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Directors for the Television Academy Foundation, a member of the Board of Directors for the Venice Chamber of Commerce, and sits on the Advisory Board for the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.
