Magdalena Yesil is a founder, entrepreneur, and venture capitalist involved with numerous leading technology companies, including Salesforce, where she was the first investor and a founding board member. She is also a co-founder of Informed, an AI startup serving the Financial Services industry, and a founder of Broadway Angels, an angel group of female investors.
A technology pioneer, Yesil co-founded three companies focusing on Internet access, e-commerce infrastructure, and electronic payments: UUnet, CyberCash, and MarketPay. These ventures have established her as a notable figure in technology entrepreneurship. Currently, she serves on the boards of SoFi, Smartsheet, and Zuora, reflecting her broad influence across various tech sectors. Her entrepreneurial efforts earned her the Entrepreneur of the Year award from Red Herring Magazine.
Yesil is the author of "Power UP: How Smart Women Win in the New Economy," a bestseller since November 2017. She is also featured in Julian Guthrie's book "Alpha Girls," which is being adapted into a television series. In addition to her writing, Yesil participated in WCIT Yerevan 2019 on Day 3 during the Marketplace of Ideas event, demonstrating her ongoing engagement with the global tech community.
