Maggie Chan Jones

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of SAP, Maggie Chan Jones oversees the development of marketing strategies worldwide. She played a pivotal role in championing SAP’s mission to simplify operations for its customers, partners, and employees, and supports SAP’s transformation into the Cloud Company powered by SAP HANA. Notably, Chan Jones was the first woman to hold the position of CMO at SAP, underscoring her trailblazing contributions to the tech industry.

Before her tenure at SAP, Chan Jones served as the inaugural Regional CMO of North America at Level 3 Communications (now CenturyLink), where she and her team were instrumental in defining the regional marketing strategy, creating customer-focused marketing programs, and driving return on marketing investments to deliver substantial financial results. Additionally, Chan Jones spent over seven years at Microsoft Corporation, contributing significantly as the Marketing Director of U.S. Cloud Services and Office 365. Her earlier career included managerial and marketing roles at Sun Microsystems and ADIC.

Beyond her corporate roles, Maggie Chan Jones founded Tenshey, a leadership development company aimed at advancing gender diversity through executive coaching. She is highly regarded as a speaker on topics such as marketing trends, authentic leadership, gender diversity, and team building. Her advocacy for diversity and inclusion has earned her numerous accolades, including being named by Forbes as one of the world’s most influential CMOs in 2017 and receiving recognition as Woman of the Year. Chan Jones also actively contributes to academia and community leadership, serving on the Board of Directors for the Johnson NYC Club at Cornell and frequently speaking at Cornell’s MBA program.
