Maithreyi is an Economic/Business Journalist, Television Anchor, Executive Editor and a Content Creator.

A veteran of global business news, for more than 15 years she has been on the frontline of the financial world’s successes and failures in the United States, Europe and Asia as an anchor and editor of CNBC (Europe; India), Bloomberg Television (United States; EMEA) and reporting for newspapers like the Financial Express, Courier Mail (India; Australia).

She is currently the Co-Chair of Fortune Magazine’s ‘Most Powerful Women International’. She is also the Creator, Host, Executive Editor & Producer of ‘Real Economy’, the flagship macroeconomic show of pan-European network, euronews.

A 3rd generation journalist, she has successfully transcended borders. Beyond pure financial journalism, her global perspective has helped tie geo-political stories like the Arab Spring, U.S. Presidential Elections and worldwide disasters like Tsunamis, Tanker Spills & War to market movements, the Global Economic Crisis & Europe’s Debt Problem.

Maithreyi’s international view of the issues we face today, come not just from her exposure as a global journalist but also from her diverse international education. She holds a Masters in International Relations (Political Economics) from the Maxwell School of Citizenship at Syracuse University in the United States and a Masters in Journalism & Law from Bond University in Australia.
