Majid Rafizadeh

Majid Rafizadeh is an Iranian-Syrian scholar, Middle East expert, and human rights activist. He is the president of the International American Middle Eastern and Muslim Council and formerly served as an ambassador for Iranian-American affairs. Rafizadeh's expertise covers a broad range of issues relating to the Middle East and human rights.

Rafizadeh moved to the US on a Fulbright teaching scholarship and has an extensive academic background, having taught at the University of California, Santa Barbara, University of South Florida, Damascus University, and Islamic Azad University. He has also conducted significant research at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and served on the National Council on US-Arab Relations. Rafizadeh's contributions extend to humanitarian efforts; he was previously a project director for the International Committee for Red Cross in regions such as Afghanistan and Darfur, Sudan.
