Malik Padgett

Malik Padgett is a Nova Southeastern University graduate student pursuing a Doctorate in Education. With a concentration in Organizational Leadership, education is a precious commodity that Padgett believes should be preserved, and freedom of expressing the values stemming from education should be protected for future generations. Padgett affirms that every good leader should aspire to be a greater student, meaning that the voyage of life is about engrossing knowledge along the journey we endeavor to attain while never wholly arriving at its final destination. Relocating to Miami in 2003 from the New York area, Padgett imagines transformational leadership as the foundation for building relationships while at the same time, embracing the values of ethical principles established through conviction, mutual admiration, and integrity.

Padgett is an educator, lecturer, and author of the soon-to-be-released book "Unintentionally Biased and Exposed". Padgett possesses a double major: a Bachelor of Sociology and Legal and Policy Studies from Fordham University and a Master of Science in International Real Estate from Florida International University.

Padgett is an unfaltering activist for the equality of educational opportunities, fiercely advocating that education is the key to transforming lives. Moreover, service to others should be the fundamental value we seek. In our pursuit of self-realization, the world that centers around each of us must be more about encompassing the united strengths we collectively possess instead of the minor differences that prevent human cohesion. Lastly, in the pursuit of justice, Padgett maintains that rehabilitated lives challenge systems of oppression and racial and social disparities and foster environments that support parity and equity among all for the benefit of all.
