Marc Nathan

Marc Nathan is an experienced business development professional and startup community "superconnector." He is the publisher of the Texas-Squared Startup Newsletter, which comprehensively covers news, events, and opinions about startups across Texas, and the Texas-Boxed CPG Newsletter, covering the Lone Star State's consumer packaged goods community. He also is the Senior Director of Market Development at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, supporting the firm through strategic introductions, partnerships, and community activities.

Prior to joining Michael Best, Nathan served as Vice President of Client Strategy for the Technology and Venture Capital practice group at Egan Nelson, LLP, a national, technology-focused law firm. Within this role, he assisted early-stage clients with fundraising strategy, including connecting with angel and VC investors, structuring financing rounds, and general strategic advisory with respect to seed and early-stage fundraising.

Throughout his career, Nathan has assisted hundreds of companies with business strategy, capital acquisition, marketing, customer development, strategic partnerships, and product development. He connects talented executives with services and capital sources through professional networking and events. Nathan also hosts OpenCoffee Austin and Wake Up! CPG meetups every month. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
