Mark Moseley

Mark Moseley has enjoyed a distinguished career in professional football and business. In 1982, he was voted the National Football League's Most Valuable Player, becoming the first kicker in the NFL's history to be nominated and elected for this honor. He holds numerous NFL kicking records and has recently become eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame.

Moseley began his football career in 1970 when he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles, subsequently playing for teams such as the Houston Oilers and the Washington Redskins. While with the Redskins, he was recognized as an All-Pro four times. In 1983, he set a single season scoring record with 161 points and led the NFL in scoring in four separate seasons, ranking him sixth on the all-time scoring list at that time. He also kicked 300 field goals during his career, placing him fifth on the NFL's all-time scoring list. After leaving Washington in 1985, Moseley concluded his NFL career in Cleveland, helping the Browns win the AFC Central Division Title. He retired from professional football in 1987.

Following his retirement, Moseley transitioned into a full-time businessman, leveraging his experience in commercial real estate to launch several entrepreneurial ventures including Mark Moseley's Travel, Mark Moseley's Famous Fries, and Extra Point Productions. He also conducts summer kicking camps for young athletes. During the NFL season, he engages with the football community as the co-host of "Redskins Wrapp" on News Channel 8 and provides updates through "The Redskins Reports" three times a week for WRCY-FM 94.3.

Moseley's commitment to community service is evident through his receipt of numerous civic awards such as the International Association of Lions Club Humanitarian Award, the Marine Corps Scholarship Association Sportsman of the Year Award, and being named Washingtonian of the Year in 1982. He continues to be actively involved in charitable activities, including significant fundraising efforts for the Washington D.C. Ronald McDonald House. His presentations emphasize the values of hard work, commitment, teamwork, and perseverance, which have guided his success both on the field and in his business endeavors.
