Martine Lagace Biography
Martine Lagacé is a professor and researcher at the department of communication and school of psychology of the University of Ottawa since 2004. Her research interests include stereotypes and age-based discrimination as well intergroup / intergenerational relationships. She has published several scholarly papers to this effect, amongst others, the books: "Ageism, understanding and changing the social perspective on aging" and "Representations and discourses on aging: the hidden face of ageism?" both published at Les Presses de l'Université Laval, respectively in 2010 and 2015.
Over the last twenty years, her research aimed at understanding the sources and consequences of aged-based discrimination in the workplace from a psychosocial perspective. She has conducted several field studies, particularly with Canadian older workers and retired seniors.
