Maryam Banikarim Biography
Maryam Banikarim is an accomplished business executive, Emmy-winning producer, and community builder. She has held leadership roles as Chief Marketing Officer for global organizations such as Nextdoor, Hyatt, Gannett, NBCUniversal, and Univision. Additionally, she co-founded NYCNext and The Longest Table, movements fostering community connection and civic participation.
Her creativity and ability to connect with people have earned her national recognition through media appearances and keynote speeches. Banikarim has delivered a TED Talk entitled “How to Turn Obstacles into Opportunities,” served as a commencement speaker at Columbia Business School, and spoken for organizations such as Pfizer, Disney, and The Points of Light Foundation.
