Hay has made it his mission to help others find their voice, especially in the rare disease community, where patients often struggle to be heard.

A best-selling author, keynote speaker, and university lecturer, Hay’s memoir “Soundtrack of Silence: Love, Loss, and a Playlist for Life” explores the emotional and philosophical depths of his journey. As an Auditory Brainstem Implant user, Hay has found a way to bridge the gap between his old and new realities, learning to navigate a world where hearing is no longer a given but still a cherished memory.
