Matt Leinart

Matt Leinart is a former American football quarterback with a notable tenure in the National Football League (NFL). Leinart's journey to fame started at the University of Southern California (USC), where he showcased his extraordinary skills in football. During his college years, he won several awards such as the Heisman Trophy, Walter Camp Award, Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, and Manning Award. His prowess led the USC Trojans to a victorious BCS National Championship in 2004 and a perfect 12-0 regular season in 2005. Leinart's college football jersey number, 11, was retired by the USC Trojans in honor of his significant contribution to the team and his record of 37-2 as a starter.

In 2006, Leinart was drafted tenth overall by the Arizona Cardinals, marking the beginning of his seven-season career in the NFL. Despite primarily serving as a backup for Kurt Warner during his four seasons with the Cardinals, Leinart displayed his potential by setting an NFL rookie record with 405 passing yards in a game against the Minnesota Vikings. He later played for the Houston Texans and the Oakland Raiders in a backup role. In 2017, Leinart was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

After his NFL career, Leinart turned to broadcasting and currently works as a college football studio analyst for Fox Sports 1. His transition to television allows him to share his deep understanding and passion for football with a wider audience.
