Max Stossel

Max Stossel is an award-winning poet and filmmaker, as well as the Founder of Social Awakening, an initiative dedicated to addressing the challenges of technology addiction and distraction. He also serves as the Youth & Education Advisor for the Center for Humane Technology, striving to realign technology with humanity's best interests. His creative output, which includes presentations such as "Social Media & Your Kids" and "We’ve Been Sneaking Into Your Brains," focuses on the impact of social media on youth, having reached audiences in over 14 languages and winning two Webby Awards.

Before his endeavors in poetry, film, and digital activism, Stossel had a successful career as a media strategist with a profound background in social media management. He significantly increased engagement levels for Budweiser and crafted social strategies for major brands like Dove under the mentorship of Gary Vaynerchuk. His insights on the subject have been featured in publications such as Quartz and The Huffington Post.

Currently, Stossel combines his expertise in media strategy and his artistic vision to assist brands in crafting compelling narratives through video. He continues to speak at schools, corporate events, and various educational forums, focusing on helping young individuals navigate the complexities of social media and technology. His work over the last seven years, speaking to over 100,000 students, parents, and educators worldwide, underscores his commitment to impactful communication and education in the digital age.
