Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen is a Belgian-Dutch racing driver competing in Formula One for Red Bull Racing. He made a name for himself as the youngest driver in Formula One history, entering the competitive field at the age of 17 years and 166 days. Verstappen's talents were evident early on, as he won his first Formula One Grand Prix at the tender age of 18, breaking records as the youngest-ever and first Dutch driver to achieve such a feat. His racing acumen is rooted in his family, with his father being a former Formula One driver and his mother a go-kart racer.

In the years following his debut, Verstappen continued to demonstrate his prowess on the track. He secured the World Champion title in Formula One for three consecutive years (2021, 2022, and 2023), won a total of 58 Grands Prix, and achieved 38 pole positions along with 32 fastest laps. Verstappen's accomplishments extend beyond the race track, earning him recognition, such as the Best Driver ESPY Award in 2023 and the Laureus Sportsman of the Year in 2022. He was also named Dutch Sportsman of the Year in 2016, 2021, and 2022, and awarded the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy in 2016.

Verstappen's commitment to his racing career is evident in his decision to extend his contract with Red Bull Racing until at least the end of the 2028 season. His success is underpinned by a strong background in karting and single-seater categories, including FIA European Formula 3. Despite the pressures of being a high-profile racer, Verstappen enjoys sim racing in his spare time and supports FC Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven. He is also multilingual, speaking Dutch, English, and German fluently.
