Meghana Bollimpalli

Meghana Bollimpalli is a dedicated and highly-motivated high school student who currently attends Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, AR. Her interests are diverse, ranging from scientific research to business to community service. She enjoys sharing her ideas and mentoring other students through outreach programs.

Currently, she is a student researcher at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). Meghana has won numerous national and international awards, including winning the 2018 Intel Foundation Young Scientist Award and being named a finalist for the 2018 National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, 2018 Genius Olympiad, and many other competitions.

She has presented and discussed her research at various locations around the world including universities, national and international science conferences, and other speaking venues.

Meghana has been featured by numerous news organizations, magazines, and websites, such as Forbes, KARK 4, THV11, Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Indiawest, Intel, and others. She is actively working on writing research papers that will be submitted for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She currently has several papers under review for publication.

Outside of research, Meghana is involved in many extracurricular activities and organizations. She founded the Arkansas chapter of the MIT Launch Club which encourages students to get involved in entrepreneurship and launching their own companies while getting expert guidance from MIT approved mentors. She is also the 2017-18 president of National Honor Society and Vice President of Junior Civitan.

Additionally, she has immersed herself into community service, amassing over 400 hours of community service. Meghana has volunteered at organizations such as Arkansas Baptist Hospital, Recycle Bikes for Kids, Immanuel Baptist Church, and other organizations.

Meghana’s long-term goals include dual majoring in chemistry and economics while minoring in environmental sciences and mathematics and pursuing a career in the STEM field.
