Melissa Rycroft "waltzed" her way into America's hearts after being betrayed on what was the most shocking and talked about season finale ever of ABC's The Bachelor. Jason Mesnick chose Melissa Rycroft in the Season 13 finale of The Bachelor on March 2, 2009, only to end their relationship on the After the Final Rose special in favor of runner-up Molly Malaney -- just six weeks after taping had ended.
With an outpouring of support and affection from viewers across America, a dignified Melissa Rycroft has personified the courage to move on. Melissa Rycroft's journey continued as a participant on season eight of Dancing with the Stars, valiantly stepping in with less than a week to train when two celebrities were forced to withdraw due to injuries. She has returned to the show for Season 15 of Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars.
Melissa Rycroft, 29, is from Dallas, Texas. She has also appeared on CMT's reality show Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making The Team, becoming a Cowboys cheerleader for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Rycroft co-hosted the first season of Bachelor Pad with Chris Harrison as well as co-hosted Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve in December 2009.
Rycroft married Tye Strickland in 2009 and now has two children.
