Meredith Wilson Parfet

The CEO and founder of boutique crisis management consultancy Ravenyard Group, Meredith Wilson Parfet is also a hospice chaplain and a death doula, allowing her to bring a unique blend of crisis management expertise and compassionate care to her work. She combines practical tools honed through personal and professional crisis experiences to help clients navigate complex challenges with strategic acumen and emotional intelligence.

For better and worse, Wilson Parfet has experienced crises across all areas of her life. After a family tragedy and her own near death, she learned that people don’t do a very good job talking about hardship. After a catastrophic business failure, she realized that we completely overlook the suffering caused by professional and organizational crisis. From this was born a mindset about the complex intersection of grief and crisis, which both informs and is informed by every aspect of her work.

At Ravenyard, Wilson Parfet works with individuals and organizations experiencing Capital C crisis – legal or regulatory action, fatalities, white collar crime, scandal, complex family office disputes. Crisis is not a bad tweet; it changes the trajectory of your life. She founded the company out of an understanding that crisis requires walk-in-ready technical skills, an operational approach, as well as support for leaders and teams. In addition to her work in crisis management, she also works a few shifts a month as a humanist hospice chaplain.

Wilson Parfet is also an accomplished investor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She has nearly two decades of asset management and hedge fund experience, including acting as the Chief Operating Officer for two alternative investment funds. Additionally, she co-founded Denali Venture Philanthropy, an investment organization that funds entrepreneurs who are committed to social change. Wilson Parfet has led organizations of all sizes, from small start-ups to complex, global operations.

She holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, an MA in Spiritual Care from the Iliff School of Theology, and a BA in Political Science from Northwestern University.
