Meryl Davis is a retired American ice dancer best known for her partnership with Charlie White. Together, they became Olympic champions, multiple-time world medalists, and one of the most successful ice dancing teams in history.
With partner Charlie White, she is a two-time (2011, 2013) World champion, the 2010 Olympic silver medalist, two-time (2010, 2012) World silver medalist, five-time Grand Prix Final champion (2009–2013), three-time Four Continents champion (2009, 2011, 2013) and five-time U.S. national champion (2009–2013).
Davis and White teamed up in 1997 and skated for two decades. They are the first American ice dancers to win the World title. At the 2006 NHK Trophy, they became the first ice dancing team to earn level fours on all their elements.
After retiring from competition in 2017, Meryl Davis focused on philanthropy, mentoring young skaters, and public speaking. She has been involved in various charitable causes and continues to promote figure skating through events and commentary.
In 2021, Davis authored the rhyming children's book, "Moon Walk: Forever by Your Side," telling the story of unconditional parental love.
