Michael Fishman

Michael Aaron Fishman is an American actor, writer, and producer known for playing D.J. Conner on the long-running series Roseanne and its spin-off show, The Conners.

His acting career began with his starring role on ABC's award-winning iconic comedy Series Roseanne (1988). During his nine seasons playing D.J. Conner, he was nominated for numerous awards including winning the Young Star Award. Fishman became known for his timing, ability to handle complex social issues, an detailed nuanced emotion.

Michael was accepted to college to study veterinary medicine but instead pursued a career in baseball, married and worked as a carpenter while helping to raise his younger brother Matthew. He became a father and began working behind the camera for several years A production renaissance man Fishman worked in countless areas on projects like The Roseanne Show (1997), Rockin with Roseanne, The Tipping Point (2009), even earning an Emmy nomination on Sport Science (2007).

In recent years Michael returned to the screen in various television and film roles. He can currently be seen reprising his role as D.J. Conner, on the ABC hit comedy The Conners (2018). He made his network television directorial debut with The Conners (2018) Halloween episode. As a Writer, Director, Producer Fishman has become a creative force. In 2019 helped establish Mclusive Media, and runs Mutually Inclusive Media, both companies specialize in visceral heartfelt stories that build community and promote inclusion. Through his interview show Fish's Call Sheet (2020) Fishman shines a light behind the scenes of production. Fishman has a number of projects in various stages of development for fans to look forward to.
