Mike Krzus

Michael P. Krzus is an independent corporate reporting consultant and researcher. He is coauthor, with Robert G. Eccles, of "One Report: Integrated Reporting for a Sustainable Strategy" — the first book on integrated reporting and winner of the 2010 PROSE Award for Business, Finance & Management. He is also coauthor, with Robert G. Eccles and Sydney Ribot, of "The Integrated Reporting Movement: Meaning, Momentum, Motives, and Materiality." Krzus has written or coauthored five book chapters and 40 articles, business cases, and research papers. He has been published in practitioner journals, including MIT Sloan Management Review, Schmalenbach Business Review, and Journal of Applied Corporate Finance.

Krzus worked at Illinois Central Gulf Railroad (1973-1986), Checkers Simon & Rosner (1986-1995), BDO Seidman (1995-1996), Illinois Central Railroad (1996-1999), Arthur Andersen (1999-2002), and Grant Thornton (2002-2011). He retired as a Grant Thornton Partner in 2011 and founded Mike Krzus Consulting in August 2011. Krzus has been a Senior Advisor to The ERM Group since 2015.

Krzus was named one of the Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior (2010) and selected as a Cecil and Ida Green Honors Professor at Texas Christian University (2010). He was a member of the SAM (today RobecoSAM) Faculty’s core team 2010.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant. Krzus also served three years (1970-1973) in the U.S. Army, including a tour of duty (1971- 1972) in Vietnam with the 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division (Separate).
