Mikey Day

Mikey Day is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for his work on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) and “Is It Cake?”

Before joining SNL, Day wrote for and appeared in several comedy shows, including “Wild 'N Out” on MTV, “Robot Chicken” on Adult Swim, and “The Jay Leno Show.” He also co-wrote and co-starred in “The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special,” a sketch based on his now-iconic character David S. Pumpkins alongside Tom Hanks. His comedy writing skills have been highlighted through his collaborations with renowned comedians and actors.

Day joined “Saturday Night Live” as a writer in 2013 and was promoted to a featured player in 2016, eventually becoming a full-time cast member. His versatility as a performer and ability to embody a wide variety of characters has made him one of the standout performers on the show. He is known for impersonating public figures like Donald Trump Jr., Steve Bannon, and Prince Harry, among others.

Outside of SNL, Mikey Day has worked in various film and television projects, including co-writing the Netflix film “Home Sweet Home Alone” (2021). He continues to be an influential presence in the comedy scene, known for his sharp wit, creative sketches, and memorable characters.

Born in Orange County, California, Day began his comedy career performing with The Groundlings, a well-known Los Angeles-based improv and sketch comedy troupe.
