Minda Dentler is a program manager, athlete, speaker, global health advocate, mother, and author. Her debut children’s book, "The Girl Who Figured It Out," is an empowering story of perseverance and overcoming the odds, following her journey from being an orphan with polio in India to becoming the first female wheelchair athlete to complete the Ironman World Championship triathlon in Hawaii.
Dentler was a TED speaker and has shared her story on CNN, CBS Mornings, Forbes, and Glamour, and she was nominated for an ESPN ESPY Award for best female athlete with a disability. As an Aspen Institute Fellow, she has also contributed to the Huffington Post and TIME, advocating for the eradication of polio. An endurance athlete and motivational speaker, Dentler is dedicated to inspiring others to achieve their goals.
She holds an MBA from Baruch College and a BA in Information Systems from the University of Washington. After two decades in New York City, she now resides in Scottsdale, Arizona, with her husband and daughter.
