Mira Brancu

As the CEO and founder of Towerscope, Dr. Mira Brancu provides leaders and their teams streamlined strategies and tailored growth tools to manage people-centric work challenges and develop high performing teams. To this role, she brings two decades of experience in healthcare and academia, including an award-winning leadership career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and a faculty appointment at Duke University. At Duke, she is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and an expert at the intersection of organizational development, behavioral science, mental health, and gender-inclusive leadership.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Brancu has built an unrivaled understanding for how to apply psychological principles to addressing some of the most challenging leadership and management situations. She helps leaders strategically and intentionally build effective teams, resolve stressful conflicts, deliver important messages, exert influence, develop a resilient leadership mindset, and manage at all levels.

Towerscope (formerly known as Brancu & Associates) was awarded the 2021 Corporate Philanthropy Award by Triangle Business Journal for contributions supporting under-served women professionally and economically. Dr. Brancu also was named as one of the Top 50 Inspirational Leaders in the Research Triangle in 2022 and received the 2020 Early Career Woman Psychologist in Management Award from the Society of Psychologists in Leadership. She has a national Psychology Today blog focused on women's leadership and contributes to Thrive Global. She is also the author of "Millennials Guide to Workplace Politics."

Dr. Brancu holds a PhD in clinical psychology, a master's degree in counseling, and multiple licenses and certificates in leadership, facilitating and coaching.
