Mira Kirshenbaum

Mira Kirshenbaum has an international reputation as a therapist for individuals, couples, and families. She is the co-founder and clinical director of The Chestnut Hill Institute. As a speaker, Kirshenbaum is the author of nine award-winning books, which have become both national and international bestsellers. She has appeared many times on the "Today Show" and has been interviewed by Oprah Winfrey. Moreover, Kirshenbaum is the author, co-author, and researcher of twelve books including "The Weekend Marriage", "Feel Better Fast", "Is He Mr. Right? Everything You Need to Know Before You Commit", "When Good People Have Affairs", and "The Emotional Energy Factor".

Kirshenbaum is widely recognized for her media appearances, workshops, and presentations, which are particularly valued for her direct approach to solving problems, significantly impacting individuals' lives and directing organizations toward better outcomes. Her expertise focuses on enhancing emotional energy, improving decision-making and communication, transforming relationships within organizations, addressing key relationship challenges, empowering women, and contributing to the emotional and psychological aspects of physical health in medical settings.

In addition to her clinical and speaking roles, Kirshenbaum consults on organizational morale and interpersonal dynamics for businesses and organizations. She has received advanced clinical training from notable figures such as Salvador Minuchin, Carl Whitaker, Jay Haley, and Virginia Satir. Kirshenbaum completed her undergraduate studies at The State University of New York at Stony Brook and pursued postgraduate training at the Boston Family Institute, with additional graduate study at the University of London and The City University of New York. She has led workshops and conducted training for medical professionals at Harvard Medical School. Kirshenbaum is a recipient of the Parent’s Choice Award for "Best Parenting Book" in 1991 and serves as a Board Member of One Generation After: International Network of Children of Holocaust Survivors.
