Mitch Brooks

Mitch Brooks is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of High Street Equity Partners, a venture capital firm investing in technology companies. The firm focuses on investments in diverse startup teams whose companies are composed of one or more historically underrepresented founders. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Operating Officer and Partner at DSI, an enterprise SaaS technology company and consultancy. A multi-disciplinary business executive, investor, and advisor, Brooks also co-founded Eye Street Investments, an angel investor network. His professional experience spans across all core functional business units within public and private companies.

Brooks is also deeply involved in philanthropic and nonprofit endeavors, and serves on the boards of several charitable organizations and private companies. Guided by his faith and family values, he has been an active committee member of Boards of Directors for a variety of local, regional, and national charitable organizations and venture-backed private companies.

Brooks, a sixth-generation Washingtonian, resides in the Historic Fort Lincoln neighborhood of Northeast Washington, DC, and received his BA/MBA with honors from Florida A&M University's School of Business & Industry. Passionate about entrepreneurship, sports, and live entertainment, he brings a diverse perspective to his roles within the business and philanthropic sectors.
