Moby is an American musician, songwriter, producer, and animal activist. He made his entry into the mainstream music scene with his 1991 single "Go", quickly followed by eight top 10 hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart between 1992 and 1997. His album "Play" (1999) sold a whopping 12 million copies, with his track "South Side" featuring reaching No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. His twenty-first studio album, "Resound NYC", was released in May 2023.
Moby's influence in the electronic music scene is undeniable, as he has created remixes for various artists, including Billy Corgan and Soundgarden. He has also made public appearances on shows like Top of the Pops in the UK. He also holds a Guinness World Records for the fastest tempo in a recorded song at 1,015 beats-per-minute for the track "Thousand."
In addition to his music career, Moby is a passionate animal activist and dedicated vegan. He has opened a vegan cafe in Manhattan named TeaNY and a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles called Little Pine. Moby has also organized the Circle V music and food festival.
