Monique Coleman

Monique Coleman is an actress, producer, Emmy-nominated host, and global youth champion. She is widely recognized for her role as Taylor McKessie in the "High School Musical" series. In addition to her role in the popular Disney franchise, Coleman landed roles in productions such as "A Christmas Dance Reunion," where she played Lucy, and "Greed: A Seven Deadly Sins Story" as Zuri Maxwell. Additionally, she returned to the High School Musical universe in 2023, making an appearance in "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series."

Alongside her acting career, Coleman has also showcased her talents in other areas of the entertainment industry. In the Fall of 2006, she competed in the third edition of the reality dance competition show Dancing with the Stars, where she placed fourth. She hosts and executive produces her original series, "Gimme Mo," through her production company, Mo'tivated Productions, earning her a 2019 Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Host for LIfestyle, Children's, or Special Class Programs Category.

Coleman's impact extends beyond the entertainment industry. In 2010, she was appointed a Youth Champion by the United Nations, focusing her efforts on promoting global anti-poverty initiatives, specifically the Millennium Development Goals. Her influence in her acting roles has also been recognized, notably with her win of the Character and Morality in Entertainment Awards (CAMIE) in 2006 for "The Reading Room" and the Teen Choice Awards 2006 Award for Choice TV Show: Comedy/Musical for "High School Musical." Her contribution to "High School Musical 2" also garnered her the American Music Award in 2007.
