Moody McCarthy started performing stand-up comedy in 1992 and just learned there’s no pension. He has performed on TV on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, Last Comic Standing, the CMS Morning Show, House Hunters, and twice on CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman. McCarthy is an in-demand comedian at North America’s top comedy clubs and his albums can be heard on Sirius/XM radio and streamed online.
Having started his career in his hometown of Syracuse, McCarthy is now based in New York City. His material is described as original but universal, and smart without being trite. Coupled with a disarming presence and in-the-moment chops, he has earned the respect of his peers for his ability to “go up cold”.
