Morgan Shaw Parker

Morgan Shaw Parker has an extensive career spanning over 25 years in the sports and entertainment industry. She currently serves as the president and chief operating officer for the Atlanta Dream. Prior to the Atlanta Dream, Shaw Parker served as the vice president and chief marketing officer for AMB Sports + Entertainment, where she oversaw all brand marketing, media group (brand communications, broadcast, digital, and social media), and creative design functions for the Atlanta Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Her role involved building and driving integrated strategies to support the brand, stadium, and football team, reflecting her belief in the power of sports to unite communities. Her experience spans professional teams/leagues, NCAA/college sports, media, corporate brands, and agencies.

Over the years, Shaw Parker has developed a skill set that goes beyond traditional marketing communications. She encompasses business and brand intelligence, sales and brand marketing, data and insights, content strategy, organizational change, partnership strategy and development, digital and social media, and communications (external and internal). She has also demonstrated her expertise in broadcast production and issues management.

Prior to joining AMBSE, Shaw Parker spent more than 10 years at NIKE, Inc., where she served as a director within the brand's North American communications function. She strategized and directed communications for multiple Nike brand categories, including football (NFL and NCAA), where she led the 2012 media launch of Nike's NFL partnership. Her agenda also included developing long-term integrated communications strategies across marketing, social/digital, product, design and retail.

In addition to her marketing and communications roles, Shaw Parker is also an accomplished writer, speaker, and innovative brand storyteller. She spent five seasons (1999-2004) with the Kansas City Chiefs as a Manager of Public Relations, handling Corporate Affairs and Community Relations. Simultaneously, she served as an on-air feature reporter for the Chiefs Gameday Show with Metro Sports and was a member of the NFL's Super Bowl PR team for over a decade.

Shaw Parker has always been dedicated to advancing opportunities for girls and women in sports. She has contributed significantly to WINforKC, the Kansas City Sports Commission, Rising Media Stars and other organizations. She was honored as a 2018 Gamechanger by the Sports Business Journal for her impactful contributions to sports business. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a M.S. of Education in Sport Management from the University of Kansas.
