Morganna Freeman

Dr. Morganna Freeman, a skin cancer specialist, is Assistant Clinical Professor & Medical Director of Community Clinical Research at City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center. She completed Internal Medicine training & Chief Residency at the University of Florida and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, she is dual board-certified in Medical Oncology & Internal Medicine, and completed a formal health policy fellowship followed by a 3-year tenure with the ASCO Government Relations Committee. During her fellowship training, she focused on the use of immune therapy in the treatment of advanced skin cancers, and has since devoted her career to the treatment and prevention of these diseases.

Prior to City of Hope, Dr. Freeman was the Associate Director of Melanoma and Cutaneous Oncology Program at Cedars Sinai’s The Angeles Clinic and Research Institute.

In addition to her scientific interests, Dr. Freeman is a devoted public health advocate with a special focus on preventing skin cancer in teens & young adults, and seeks to improve provider and community education about appropriate use of immunotherapy as well as side effect management. She is an honored recipient of the 2018 Melanoma Research Foundation Humanitarian Award.
