Nick Offerman is an American actor, author, humorist, and woodworker. He's most widely known for his role as Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," for which he received the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy and was twice nominated for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
Offerman has also appeared in the second season of the FX series "Fargo," for which he received a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award, as well as the FX on Hulu series "Pam & Tommy" and the HBO series "The Last of Us," for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series. He has acted in numerous independent films, including "The Kings of Summer," "Me and Earl and the Dying Girl," "The Founder," and "Hearts Beat Loud."
Offerman's other work includes executive producing and starring in the film "The House of Tomorrow." He also played the President of the United States in the movie "Civil War," directed by Alex Garland. He voiced Agent Powers on "Gravity Falls" and has provided voice acting work for "The Lego Movie" franchise, "Hotel Transylvania 2," "Ice Age: Collision Course," and the "Sing" film franchise. He also hosted "Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics."
He began co-hosting the NBC reality competition series "Making It" with "Parks and Recreation" co-star Amy Poehler, for which they received three nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.
He has written five New York Times Bestselling books, including "Where the Deer and the Antelope Play: The Pastoral Observations of One Ignorant American Who Loves to Walk Outside," "Paddle Your Own Canoe," "Gumption," "Good Clean Fun," and "The Greatest Love Story Ever Told," written with his wife, Megan Mullally. In his spare time, he can be found at his woodshop in Los Angeles building hand-crafted items from wood, ranging from spoons and canoes to ukuleles.
