Nico Rosberg Biography
Nico Rosberg is a German-born former Formula One™ driver renowned for securing 23 Grand Prix victories, 30 pole positions during his eleven-year career, and notably winning the World Championship in 2016.
Since retiring from Formula One™, Rosberg has directed his focus on promoting sustainable change through green technologies, investing in a plethora of alternative mobility start-ups such as Lilium, Volocopter, What3Words, Tier, and Chargepoint, and he co-founded the GREENTECH FESTIVAL, a global platform for sustainable innovation in 2019. Rosberg is also the founder and CEO of Rosberg X Racing, a team that competes in the Extreme E series, a racing competition designed to raise awareness about climate change and promote the adoption of electric vehicles.
Rosberg's motivation as an entrepreneur is fueled by the desire to drive positive change for society and mankind. He has made appearances on the German reality TV show "Die Höhle der Löwen", where he seeks out promising new startups in the sustainability sphere. His contributions have been recognized with several awards, including the 2018 "GreenTec Entrepreneur of the Year" award, the 2020 “Aufbruch Award” and the 2021 "European Cultural Award" for the environment. Rosberg is fluent in five languages and currently resides with his wife Vivian and their daughters Alaïa and Naila in Monaco and Ibiza.
