Nicole Brown Biography
Nicole Brown is the President at TriStar Pictures, Sony’s specialty division that she helped restart with Tom Rothman in 2013. She was previously the SVP at TriStar, where she oversaw movies such as summer breakout hit Baby Driver, Danny Boyle’s sequel to Trainspotting, Jodie Foster’s Money Monster starring George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and Jonathan Demme’s Ricki and the Flash starring Meryl Streep. She has several projects in development ranging from an adaptation of the children’s classic, Phantom Tollbooth, Alex Garland and Paloma Baeza’s Toymaker’s Secret, to an epic historical piece starring Viola Davis and Lupita Nyong’o.
Before TriStar, Nicole was an EVP at Good Universe, originally formed as Mandate Pictures, where she oversaw the development of the company’s slate of films. Movies Nicole shepherded and helped produce during this time include Neighbors, This is the End, Last Vegas, Evil Dead, the Harold and Kumar franchise, indie spirit award winning 50/50, Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, The Posse, and Whip It. A Los Angeles native, Nicole got her start interning at Miramax while attending Columbia University.
