Niels Pflaeging

Niels Pflaeging is the founder of the BetaCodex Network and a partner and associate at Red42 based in Wiesbaden, Germany. He is an acclaimed international speaker and acts as an advisor to organizations from all over the world. Pflaeging is also an investor in the tech startup discourse, which was founded in September 2021.

Pflaeging is one of the world's foremost authorities on organizational leadership, decentralization, self-organization, and democracy. He has published ten books and many articles on these themes, including the international best-seller "Organize for Complexity." Since 2002, he has traveled to over 45 countries, presenting and discussing the BetaCodex mindset and bringing it to life through advisory work targeted at profound change and organizational transformation.

Pflaeging's second book, "Leading with Flexible Targets, Beyond Budgeting in Practice," was awarded the Financial Times Germany Best Business Book Award in 2006. His books in English also include "OpenSpace Beta" and "Essays on Beta, Vol. 1." Pflaeging was lauded by critics and readers, and several became bestsellers.

Since 2006, Pflaeging has been strongly involved in organzaitioanol transformation initiatives in firms in both Europe and the Americas. Pflaeging is a prolific speaker, speaking four languages fluently - English, German, Spanish, and Portugese. Prior to the BetaCodex Network, Pflaeging was a director with BBRT for five years.
