Nikki Bridges Biography
Nikeya Bridges is the Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction for UKA Ventures. Prior to this role, she was an Assistant Superintendent at Uncommon Schools. Prior to this role, she was the Founding Principal at Leadership Prep Ocean Hill. She came to Uncommon Schools with a breadth of teaching experience in 2008. She co-designed an introductory college-level writing curriculum and taught an introductory college composition class at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was also a curriculum specialist at Teach For America where she delivered 150 hours of curriculum sessions to Teach For America corps members. Ms. Bridges also taught 2nd and 4th grade with the Bronx Charter School for the Arts. Prior to that, she was the Lead 4th Grade Teacher of the Year nominee for Fisk-Howard Elementary School in New Orleans. Ms. Bridges received her B.A. in English and Minor in Theology from Georgetown University, Masters of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and Masters of Arts in Literary Studies (PhD in Literary Studies Candidate) from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
