Nirav Tolia is the Co-Founder and CEO of Nextdoor, the free and private social network for neighborhoods.
Nirav began his career as an early employee at Yahoo! before co-founding and serving as CEO of Epinions, one of the first mainstream websites devoted to user-generated content. Epinions became Shopping.com, and Nirav served as COO before the company went public on Nasdaq and was subsequently acquired by eBay.
Nextdoor was founded in 2010 and is actively used in almost 40% of all neighborhoods across the U.S. Under Nirav's leadership, Nextdoor has raised over $100 million in funding from Benchmark, Greylock Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Tiger Global Management, Allen & Company, Google Ventures, and others.
Tolia grew up in Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Stanford University.
