Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus is an actor, best known for his role as Daryl Dixon on AMC’s post-apocalyptic series, "The Walking Dead."

Born in Hollywood, Florida, Reedus began his career in the mid-1990s, gaining early recognition for his performance in the cult classic film "The Boondock Saints." In the movie, he portrayed Murphy MacManus, a vigilante seeking justice alongside his brother, a role he reprised in the 2009 sequel "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day."

Reedus achieved worldwide fame with his portrayal of Daryl in "The Walking Dead," a rugged, crossbow-wielding survivalist who became one of the most iconic and fan-favorite characters in the series. Over the course of more than a decade, Reedus earned critical acclaim for his work, with his character evolving from a loner to a key leader in the show’s zombie-laden world. He is only one of two actors to appear in every season of the show, and stars in his own spin-off series, "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon."

Reedus is also a passionate photographer and author. He released two photography books, "The Sun’s Coming Up… Like a Big Bald Head" and "Portraits from the Woods," showcasing his moody, often gritty images of people and landscapes. His work behind the camera is as celebrated as his on-screen performances, with exhibitions of his photography featured in galleries across the world. Additionally, the acclaimed actor's debut novel, "The Ravaged," was a New York Times bestseller.

Reedus has worked steadily in film as well and has had notable roles on the big screen in movies such as "Blade II" and "American Gangster." He has also lent his voice and likeness to a number of video games and music videos. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, he has combined his love for motorcycles and travel in his reality series "Ride with Norman Reedus," which debuted in 2016 and follows him as he explores different cultures and destinations on his bike. He appears in "The Bikeriders" a 2023 American period crime drama film which depicts the lives of the Vandals Motorcycle Club, a fictional version of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.
