Olivia Fox Cabane

Olivia Fox Cabane has lectured on leadership, innovation, charisma, and the science of making impactful first impressions at prestigious institutions including Harvard, Yale, MIT, the Marine Corps War College, and the United Nations. She has developed specialized techniques originally for Harvard and MIT, focusing on practical tools for business based on thorough behavioral science.

She is the former Director of Innovative Leadership for Stanford University’s startup accelerator, StartX, and now serves as an executive coach and keynote speaker for Fortune 500 companies such as Google, MGM, and Deloitte. Cabane’s first book, "The Charisma Myth," published by Penguin Random House, went into second printing before it even launched; her books have been translated into 32 languages, including Mongolian, and she has recently co-authored "The Net and the Butterfly: The Art and Practice of Breakthrough Thinking."

Previously a columnist for Forbes and The Huffington Post, Cabane has been featured in media such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, and BusinessWeek. In her pro bono work as cofounder of KindEarth.Tech, she became known for her industry landscapes mapping out food technology’s most innovative companies for climate and environmental sustainability and impact investing. Cabane is fluent in four languages, holds both French and American nationalities, and was the youngest person ever to have been appointed Foreign Trade Advisor to the French government. Her upcoming book focuses on the mental side of innovation, aiming to empower readers with the tools to foster creative processes.
