Omi Bell

Omi Bell is an author, business strategist, and inspirational speaker who moves ideas to profit while empowering people to live more authentically. As a cultural translator, she connects entrepreneurs, investors, and corporations in order to diversify their talent pipeline, increase equity and grow their brands.

Bell is a systems disruptor, blazing new ways of thinking in educational, political, and financial systems. A serial entrepreneur, she has a background in K-12 education, IP strategy, and performance poetry. Between creating the first teepee for women on AirBnB, launching a business as a single mom of three, and building tech platforms for equitable financial capital, Bell practices the mantra she preaches: to ‘resist being average’. Her most recent disruption, Black Girl Ventures (BGV), transforms entrepreneurship by reimagining the way black and brown women founders get access to financial and social capital. Her book, "Originate, Motivate, Innovate: 7 Steps for Building a Billion Dollar Network," discusses how to think differently about getting a business funded as a female entrepreneur of color.

A Google Guru and Ecosystem Builder, Bell was named one of the Top 100 Powerful Women in Business by Entrepreneur Mag; Entrepreneur of the Year by Technically DC; and acknowledged as A Rising Brand Star by Adweek. She is a former Aspen Ideas Festival Fellow. Bell has trained over 5,000 entrepreneurs to rethink their earning potential, held over 300 events for empowering leaders, managed multi-million dollar contracts, and scaled over 100 businesses. She travels around the world to speak to founders and executives, teaching them how to defy ‘average’ and create lasting change in their systems, industries, and communities.
