Padraig Harrington

Padraig Harrington is one of the most successful European golfers the game has seen. He began his professional career in 1995, and his ascent in the golf world was marked by his victory at the 1996 Spanish Open, his first European Tour event win. Harrington joined the PGA Tour in 2005 and secured his first PGA Tour official money event win at the Honda Classic in March of that year.

Harrington's career is highlighted by more than 30 victories worldwide, including three major championships. He won the Open Championship twice, first at Carnoustie in 2007 and then at Royal Birkdale in 2008. The following year, he won the PGA Championship at Oakland Hills. These victories were part of a remarkable period during which Harrington achieved a career high of third in the World Golf Rankings. He has also been a formidable competitor in team competitions, having been a part of the European Ryder Cup team multiple times since 1999 and serving as the Captain of the 2020 team.
