Pattie Gonia

Pattie Gonia is a critically acclaimed drag queen, environmentalist and advocate for inclusivity and diversity in the outdoors.

Her community consists of a million people across platforms, which she has used to create inclusivity for LGBTQ+ and allies in non-traditional spaces. She is the co-founder of the Outdoorist Oath -- a non-profit that gets BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and femmes into the outdoors through community and education -- and founder of the Queer Outdoor and Environmental Job Board, a free tool queer individuals can use to get hired and therefore diversify the fields. A leader in her field, Gonia has raised over $2.7 million dollars for LGBTQIA+, BIPOC and environmental non-profits.

Her work has resonated across sectors as she’s been featured in National Geographic (who named her Traveler of the Year in 2024), The New York Times, Vogue, Outside Magazine (where she was named Person of the Year in 2022), Grist and Science Friday. Additionally, TIME Magazine named her a 2023 Next Gen Leader.

Gonia has keynoted/performed at events for Smithsonian, NASA, The North Face, REI, Yale, USC, TED and many others, leading to 4.7M impressions of events alone.

She and her team are passionate about partnering with organizations across all sectors of society, and has an extensive history of non profit + brand collaborations. Her purpose as a speaker is to educate, entertain, and engage your audience.
