Paul Amadeus Lane

Paul Amadeus Lane is an accessibility consultant working with game developers and the tech sector to help meet the needs of the disabled user. Over 20 years ago, Lane was involved in a multi-car collision that left him a C-6 quadriplegic and confined him to a wheelchair. His unwavering commitment to inclusivity has led to the development of accessible technology solutions that empower people with disabilities to fully engage with the digital landscape.

As a gamer, Lane shares the frustrations and challenges he has with players in the video gaming industry, such as PlayStation, Google, and Android, to bring about change, working to help gaming be inclusive for all. He also works with consumer technology companies, assisting them in areas where the disabled community can use their products more fully. He is a CES® Innovation judge who rates home electronics, appliances, security and accessible technologies for the annual Consumer Technology Association trade show.

Lane started his career in broadcasting as an overnight news production assistant at CBS Radio KFWB-AM in Los Angeles. While there, he also landed an additional job at NBC News Radio KCAA-AM, and rose through the ranks there to bureau chief and host of their weekday morning show. He went on to become the bureau chief of ABC News Radio KMET-AM, where he discusses technology and how it has changed everyday life.

Lane is an advisory board member of Metavethics Institute and an Abilites Expo Brand Ambassador. He previously served on the board of directors for the American Advertising Federation.
