Paul Bettany

Paul Bettany, an English actor, embarked on his acting journey through stage performances in the West End revival of "An Inspector Calls". His affinity for theatre was further solidified through his performances in a series of Royal Shakespeare Company productions, such as "Richard III", "Romeo and Juliet", and "Julius Caesar". Bettany later transitioned into the realm of film, with his debut in the Holocaust drama "Bent". His subsequent role in "Gangster No. 1" proved to be a turning point in his career, earning him a nomination for a British Independent Film Award.

Bettany's film career witnessed a trajectory of success, marked by critical acclaim and awards. His performances in "A Knight's Tale" and "A Beautiful Mind" won him the London Film Critics Circle Award for Best British Supporting Actor. Bettany expanded his repertoire by venturing into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he played the character Vision in several films including "Iron Man 2", "The Avengers", "Iron Man 3", "Avengers: Age of Ultron", "Captain America: Civil War", and "Avengers: Infinity War". Bettany’s role in the Marvel television miniseries "WandaVision", alongside Elizabeth Olsen, earned him nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film. In addition to his acting career, Bettany has displayed his talents as a writer and director, making his directorial debut with the film "Shelter". He is slated to portray businessman Alexander Nix in an upcoming film about the Facebook–Cambridge Analytica data scandal, and is co-writing and starring in the dramedy film "Harvest Moon".
