Paul Edwards

Paul Edwards’ richness of experience and fluency in marketing, networking and relational selling comes from his global and communications background. The son of British and South African immigrants to North America, Paul was raised with emphasis on literature, artistry and expression. He graduated from high school in 1998 as one of Arcadia High School’s most passionate students of drama, music and television production; everything else was a chore to him.

Stirred as a young man, Paul left behind his Canadian birth and American upbringing to live in London, England, where he became a Christian under the tutelage of his uncle. He then joined the U.S. military on the eve of the Invasion of Iraq in 2003, becoming a transportation soldier who served at a duty station in Germany and two tours of combat in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Paul left active military service from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington in 2008. He enrolled at Pacific Lutheran University’s School of Arts and Communication, where he rediscovered his passions for writing, public speaking, persuasion and visual arts. He graduated with a 3.38 GPA and a bachelor’s degree in Communication at the end of 2010, intending a career in radio, broadcasting or some other communications format.

Sidetracked by a recession and several failures, Paul switched into the field of insurance sales in the beginning of 2012, and spent the next six years selling, marketing and promoting captive and brokerage companies. He became a staple of the business community in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area of Washington state, a skilled networker and community leader who added value to everyone he met. Networking became so central to his business that he began to teach other marketers and business owners how to do it.

In the spring of 2018 Paul made the decision to write his own book and enter the online information business as an author, speaker, coach and consultant. His first book, “10 Secrets to Networking Success,” outlines the strategy he uses in every networking environment he enters – leads groups, boards of directors, Chamber forums, golf tournaments and fundraisers alike.

Paul resides in Tumwater, Washington with his wife Shannon and sons Grant and Chase Edwards.
