Paula Shoyer is the author of five cookbooks: the "Instant Pot Kosher Cookbook, "Healthy Jewish Kitchen," "The New Passover Menu," "The Holiday Kosher Baker," and "The Kosher Baker."
A French-trained pastry chef, Shoyer teaches cooking and baking classes all around the world and virtually, often focusing on Jewish holiday meals and kosher cooking techniques. She does demonstrations as fundraisers for synagogues from Reform to Orthodox, Jewish Community Centers and organizations. She is particularly known for her approachable style and her ability to make complex kosher recipes more accessible to a wide audience.
Shoyer has also made appearances on various cooking shows and has worked as a food writer, with her recipes appearing in publications like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Jewish Food Experience. Her recipes often focus on simplifying Jewish cooking for the home cook while still maintaining authenticity and flavor.
She has two travel video shows, "Paula’s Hidden Tastes of Israel" and "The Kosher Baker in Paris," released on Facebook, and archived on Youtube. In the summer of 2022, she launched her first food tour to Israel, Savor Israel Tours, with all hands-on cooking classes all over Israel.
In the past few years, Shoyer has been honored for her work by Jewish Women International, the Hamptons Hadassah, and the kosher food community as a “Kosher Food Pioneer.”
