Peggy Johnson

Peggy Johnson is the CEO of Agility Robotics, a pioneering company focused on developing advanced humanoid robots designed to enhance productivity and efficiency across various industries. With a strong background in technology and innovation, Johnson has been instrumental in driving Agility Robotics' mission to create robots that can work alongside humans in dynamic environments.

Prior to Agility, Johnson was the CEO at augmented reality company Magic Leap. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President of Business Development at Microsoft, where she was responsible for driving strategic partnerships and transactions to accelerate growth for Microsoft and its customers. In this role, she also managed Microsoft’s relationship with the venture capital community and oversaw strategic investments through the company’s corporate venture fund, M12. At M12, Johnson collaborated with external partners worldwide, ranging from startups to large enterprises, to identify areas of collaboration, drive innovation, and unlock shared value.

Before joining Microsoft in 2014, Johnson spent 24 years at Qualcomm, where she held various leadership positions across engineering, sales, marketing, and business development. She was a member of the Executive Committee and led Qualcomm’s Internet Services business unit. Prior to Qualcomm, she worked as an engineer for General Electric’s Military Electronics Division.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San Diego State University and serves on the board of directors for BlackRock, Inc., as well as on the advisory board for the nonprofit Huntington’s Disease Society of America San Diego Chapter. She has received numerous accolades, including recognition from Business Insider as the “#1 Most Powerful Female Engineer in 2017”; being named among “40 Powerful Women Leading Tech Around the World” by Silicon Republic; and inclusion in Forbes' 50 Over 50: Innovation list. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion in technology is evident through her support for initiatives that promote the representation of women and underrepresented groups in STEM fields.
