Peter Ricchiuti

Peter Ricchiuti has been a faculty member at Tulane University since 1986, where his engaging teaching style and deep understanding of finance have garnered him several accolades. He is the founder and director of the Burkenroad Reports stock research program, which has achieved national recognition for its comprehensive student-led analysis.

A graduate of Babson College, Ricchiuti began his career at the investment firm Kidder Peabody in Boston, before moving on to manage Louisiana’s $3 billion investment portfolio as the assistant state treasurer. In 1993, he established the Burkenroad Reports, enhancing the practical learning experiences for finance students at Tulane University.

Beyond academia, Ricchiuti is a sought-after speaker, having presented to over 1500 groups across 47 states and various countries. His insights have been featured in prominent publications such as BARRON’S, Kiplinger’s, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. Additionally, he hosts "Out To Lunch," a popular weekly business show on National Public Radio in New Orleans.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Ricchiuti is a family man, an author, and an avid baseball fan, having visited all 30 current major league ballparks. His approachable demeanor and humor make him a notable figure both in and out of academic and professional settings.
