Philip Evans

Philip Evans is a senior partner and managing director at BCG Consulting in their Boston office. He has consulted for corporations worldwide in various industries, including financial services, consumer goods, media, and high technology. He is recognized as an expert on big data and its impact on business strategy and has also advised governments on military strategy, homeland security, and national economic policy.

Evans coauthored "Blown to Bits: How the New Economics of Information Transforms Strategy," a best-selling book that has been translated into 13 languages. Additionally, he has authored three articles published in the Harvard Business Review, including the award-winning "Strategy and the New Economics of Information," for which he won the McKinsey Award. Evans has delivered keynote addresses at multiple high-profile events and private meetings for international regulators and government bodies.

Before joining BCG, Evans earned a double first-class honors degree in economics from Cambridge University and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School. His fellowship research at Harvard focused on the emergence of a new form of corporate and industrial organization known as the stack, which continues to be his primary area of research. He is currently working on a forthcoming book titled "Stacks," to be published by Harvard Business Press.
